The Long-Tailed Mayfly Thematic Path
The Long-Tailed Mayfly Thematic Path is a project in the field of ecotourism established in 2007. It is a 1500 meter-long path in the flood-plain, on an island of Lake Tisza, opposite Szabics Harbour.
- You can get interesting information about the life of mayflies through the 10 stages.
- We have got 3 relaxing areas where you can experience the flora and fauna of the region and you can even have a picnic.
- The farthest point of the path reaches the small lake of the island called Göbe. There are boats on it awaiting for you to explore the magical world of the lake.
- From our two bird-watching towers you can examine different habitats of Lake Tisza, backwater called Borzonat and lake Göbe.
The path can be visited all the year round with an admission fee. It can be reached by boat from our Harbour. The path can only be visited on your own responsibility.
It is recommended to everybody: nature-lovers, holiday-makers, families with children as well as classes.
